Lillie Library

Located at the MBL Lillie Laboratory in Woods Hole village, the main library is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For Library Card information, see our Library Card page.

After Hours and Weekend Access

Access is available from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days a week, for Library cardholders. Please complete the access form to add after-hours access to your Library card. This option is available for users at WHOI, MBL, NOAA, NEFSC, USGS, SEA, and Woodwell Climate Research Center. For a card, please contact the Library at Library@mbl.edu.

Desks and offices in the Main Library stacks are available for rent. See rates and apply.

The Rare Books Room and MBL Archives are open by appointment only.

WHOI Data Library and Archives

Located in the WHOI Quissett Campus McLean Building, this location is not open to the general public.  Members of the Woods Hole scientific community may visit Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The WHOI Archives are available by appointment only.  Due to limited staffing, we prioritize services for the Woods Hole scientific community.  Please call 508-289-2850 or email dla@whoi.edu to schedule a visit.

MBLWHOI Library Herbarium

Located in the WHOI Data Library and Archives, Herbarium access is by appointment only. Please contact dla@whoi.edu
